Forged by 100 years of craftsmanship
1909
The founding
Fienneke vod comes to Mol, and starts a trade in old metals, rags and bones. The seeds were sown for what would later become Vanhees Metalen.
1970
Second site in Lommel
Things are going well for Vanhees Metalen. That is why they are opening a second site in Lommel, mainly focused on recycling, container service, demolition and clearance.
1993
Shredder plant
With the purchase of a brand-new shredding plant, we can process increasingly large volumes of metals, such as whole car wrecks.
2017
Third site in Herentals
Vanhees Metalen is expanding once again. This time with a site in Herentals, where old metals come in to be given a second life.
2024
115 years of Vanhees Metalen
We had a gigantic cake put on, because no fewer than 115 candles had to be lit. Yes indeed: in 2024 Vanhees Metalen celebrated its 115th anniversary. 115 years of recycling old metals into brand-new metal solutions: that's who we are and what we do!
